Cairn Way Alexa Skill — Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Cairn Way skill for Amazon Alexa. The Cairn Way Android
app is covered by a separate policy at https://www.mat.network/cairnwayprivacy/
The Cairn Way Alexa skill reads aloud a passage of Scripture, a short note on
why that passage was chosen, a question to sit with, a written prayer, and one
small suggested action. You name what you are carrying — a word such as anxiety,
grief, money or doubt — and the skill reads the step chosen for it.
Nothing. The skill does not create an account, does not ask you to sign in, and
does not store anything about you or your use of it. It has no access to your
Cairn Way journal, to any cloud backup, or to any Cairn Way database, and it
never connects to one. All of its words travel inside the skill itself.
The skill recognises only a fixed list of pathway names, such as "anxiety" or
"grief". It never asks you to say anything in your own words, and nothing you
say is recorded or kept by us.
Amazon operates Alexa and processes your voice requests under its own privacy
policy and its own settings, which you control in the Alexa app. What Amazon
keeps is a matter between you and Amazon, and we have no access to it.
The skill is not directed to children under 13.
Advertising and purchases
The skill contains no advertising. Nothing can be bought through the skill and
no payment details are ever requested. The skill reads the first three steps of
each pathway; the remaining steps are part of Cairn Way Plus in the Android app
on Google Play, and any purchase happens there, not here.
The skill is not a substitute for a doctor, a counsellor or emergency services.
